This pattern has also instruction how to sew the lining for both top and bottom (with sewing machine).
Skill level: ADVANCED/CHALLENGING
You should know the basic stiches: chain stitch, single crochet, slip stitch, double crochet. All the other stitches used in the pattern are explained. Includes instructions to line the both top and bottom so Sewing skills are also needed.
This pattern is written in english, standard American terms and includes lot of photos of the process.
Pattern includes instructions for the following sizes XS,S,M,L
With size 2mm/4 - 3mm/D crochet hook in dc pattern: 13dc and 8 rows measures 5cm/2”. Check your gauge and use any size hook and yarn to obtain the gauge!
Materials for the Top:
* 80(90,100,110) meters or 90(100,110,120) yds of Fine/2 (sport/baby). For example, Alize Diva Stretch, Troyarn Summer Stretch are excellent elastic yarns for bikinis. Check the gauge (below) to end up with the right size, when following the instructions. This pattern is designed for elastic yarn. Can be made with non-stretchy yarn, but some modifications might be needed. Test the gauge.
* Crochet hook 2mm/4 - 3mm/D (or whatever to obtain the gauge. Check the gauge!).
* Light, elastic fabric for lining and ties. Approximately 20cm/8” x 140cm/55”. I normally use Lycra for the lining as it is stretchy, light weight, absorbs less water and dries fast.
* Sewing yarn to sew the lining.
* Stitch markers.
Materials for the bottom:
* 280(320,370,420) meters or 310(350,400,460) yds of Fine/2 (sport/baby). For example, Alize Diva Stretch, Troyarn Summer Stretch are excellent elastic yarns for bikinis. Check the gauge to end up with the right size, when following the instructions. This pattern is designed for elastic yarn. Can be made with non-stretchy yarn, but you might need to follow instructions for bigger size or do some other modifications. Check the gauge.
* Crochet hook 2mm/4 - 3mm/D (or whatever to obtain the gauge. Check the gauge!).
* Piece of light, elastic fabric for lining, approximately 50cm/ 20” x 100cm/40”. I use Lycra for the lining as it is stretchy, light weight, absorbs less water and dries fast.
* Flat elastic band to the waist. Width approximately 5mm or less. Measure your low waist to know exactly how much you need.
* Stitch markers.
* Sewing yarn to sew the lining.
