You should know the basic stiches like chain stitch, single crochet, slip stitch, double crochet etc. All new stitches used in the pattern are explained. This pattern has Extended single crochet (EXsc). Step by step instructions and photos to work this stitch.
This pattern is written in english, standard American terms and includes lot of photos of the process. Instructions are written to make the potholder two colors and the towel with three colors.
Teatowel
Materials>
Fine/2 weight yarn, made with 3 different colors (I have used Mondial Cotton Soft Bio and Katia Fair Cotton)
Color 1> 70(90)m / 76(98)yds
Color 2> 70(90)m / 76(98)yds
Color 3> 60(80)m / 65(87)yds
Hook size 3.5mm/E/4 – 4.5mm/7
Measures of the readymade towel (2 sizes)
Small: height 28cm / 11”, width 33cm / 13”
Bigger: height 34cm / 13.5”, width 36cm / 14.2”
Potholder
Light/3 or Medium/4 weight yarn. The fabric needs to be solid, without holes to avoid your fingers slip through and burn!
Color 1 (EXsc and sc rows) 40m / 44yds.
Color 2 (Ch sp and sc rows) 40m / 44yds.
Hook size 3mm/D/3 – 3,5mm/E/4
Measures of the readymade Potholder
20cm / 7.9” X 20cm / 7.9”
