Skill level: Advanced.
You should know the basic stiches: chain stitch, single crochet, slip stitch, double crochet. All the other sticthes used in the pattern are explained. In the pattern is used Extended Single crochet stitch weaved on the surface of the fabric throught the previous rows. There are detailed instructions with photos to teach how to work this stitch.
This pattern is written in English, standard American terms and includes lot of photos of the process.
Pattern includes instructions for 5 different sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL.
Materials:
Total yardage for this project: 640(760,880,1000,1120) meters / 700(832,962,1090,1224) yds. In the pattern I have used three different colors and in the pattern I have written the yardage for each color.
* Yarn is fine/2 weight yarn. The Vest in the picture is made with Baby Supremo 100% merino> 50g/1.75oz=200m/191yds (solid color) and Laines du Nord Watercolor Sock 100g/3.5oz=420m/450yds (multicolor).
Other yarn suggestions> Drops Baby Merino, Drops Alpaca Mix, Paintbox Yarns Socks, Viking Garn Nordlys, Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash Fingering.
* Crochet hook: The body 4mm/G/6 – 5mm/H/8. Smaller hook 2.5mm/C/2 – 3.5mm/E/4 for the picot-edgings.
* Stitch markers.
Gauge:
The pattern for the Body: With 4mm/G/6 – 5mm/H/8 crochet hook, single crochet and Exsc pattern> 14sts and 21 rows measures 4”x4”/10cmx10cm (use any size hook to obtain the gauge).
In the pattern step by step instructions to make the gauge swatch with the stitches used in this pattern on page 19. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge!
